Safez's early party leadership was characterized by the appointment of several of his family members into key portfolios in the LRP. In February 2026, several senior party members, primarily Salah, demanded more influence in the LRP. Safez accepted the demands and reorganized the party hierachy by establishing the Central Command, aiming to name himself Chairman while he filled the rest of the Central Command with his family and close allies. Salah threatened to "rip the party in two" if Safez didn't settle as viceroy, forcing him to take this position instead. Soon after, Safez started improving relations with several other politicians, mainly those of left-wing parties, hoping to credit the LRP as the main left-wing party. The LRP saw a significant rise in popularity and Safez allegedly started conspiring against the government with general Umrad Makharat and later also Shadid of Sorbonne, the leader of the LSNP.

Safez of Roarborne re-emerged from the void on 11 December 2025 in Eindhoven. He is a member of the House of Roarborne, an affluent Solarite family with historical ties to the government. He is the fourth child of Sulay of Roarborne, following his three older brothers Scor, Sifad and Sabah.

In February 2026 Regina Maluf re-emerged from the void, after which Safez reportedly contacted Regina. Certain biographical reports specify Regina as the biological mother of Safez's children while other reports also indicate there was a pre-void relationship between the two. Safez said he maintains his relationship with Regina private from the public, stating in several interviews he desires to "safeguard her privacy". The pair confirmed they have five children, their daughter Rune and four sons including Sarsel, Sabbar, Saher and Sahid of Roarborne.

Safez of Roarborne is a Lionarchic politician and a member of the Central Command of the Lionarchic Roarist Party. He previously led the Lionarchic Roarist Party (LRP) as party leader until he abolished the position and replaced it with the Central Command.

Immediately after he appeared, Safez joined the Lionarchic Roarist Party and succeeded his cousin Scor as party leader. Similarly to Scor, Safez moved numerous family members, friends and close allies into high-ranking positions in the party. This led to significant resistance from several party members. Salah, the most prominent critic, demanded that Safez step down as party leader and democratize the party leadership. Following increasing pressure, Safez conceded and reorganized the leadership, forming the Central Command. He attempted to appoint himself as the chairman and select several family members and close allies to join the Central Command, but these moves were met with significant pushback. As a result, the chairman position remained vacant. On 11 May 2026, Safez successfully appointed Scor to the position of chairman and the two selected several family members and close associates to join the Central Command. This was generally regarded as a victory for Safez since he successfully retained his de facto leadership of the party.

Safez improved relations with several important plushies to increase his international recognition and acceptance. In February 2026, Safez recovered Spottelina Purr and Juniorientje Purr from the void and returned them to Spot Purr and Junior Purr respectively. While Junior Purr and other high-ranking heads of state initially appeared wary of Safez, this move increased his popularity significantly. The return of Spottelina and Juniorientje, two highly regarded figures in Juniorwood, led to rumblings in the void. This prompted several panthers to appear, including Pantheron, a long-standing nemesis of the Tigerium. Some have alleged this was intended by Safez. He supposedly used the diplomatic gesture to gain international recognition while also profiting from the distraction Pantheron would provide by re-establishing Pantheria.

Early and personal life
Safez of Roarborne appeared on 11 December 2025 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Shortly after Safez's appearance, six more Roarbornes reappeared from the void. Safez briefly headed the House of Roarborne, though he was later succeeded by his uncle, Sulay of Roarborne.

His three children, Sarsel, Sabbar and Saher, appeared in December 2025. Safez's wife, Regina Maluf, appeared on 16 February 2026. They married before they were absorbed into the void, though the exact date of their marriage is unknown.

Lionarchic Roarist Party rule (2025-present)
On 1 December 2025, the Lionarchy adopted a constitutional monarchy with democratic elections. Following this, Scor of Roarborne, the leader of the Lionarchic Roarist Armed Forces (LRAF), signed a peace treaty with the government, which allowed Scor and the LRAF to maintain military influence in regions with Solarite dominated populations. Additionally, Scor was allowed to establish the Lionarchic Roarist Party (LRP) and became its leader until Safez re-emerged from the void on 11 December, whereupon he ceded party leadership to him.
Safez joined the Lionarchic Roarist Party directly after he reappeared. He succeeded his elder cousin Scor of Roarborne as the new party leader. He immediately began integrating his family into important positions in party leadership. He designated Scor as the leader of the military wing of the party, the Lionarchic Roarist Armed Forces (LRAF). He also moved his cousins Sifad and Sabah to key roles in the party. This sparked significant backlash from several party members who argued Safez was actively practicting nepotism. While the party started suffering from internal discontent, it acquired around 15% of the vote during the first election on 2 January 2026.

Power struggle for leadership
The party grew progressively unstable. The most prominent critic, Salah,  threatened to "rip the party in two" if Safez were not to step down as party leader and democratize the party leadership. Safez agreed to the demands and reformed the party structure. On 7 February 2026, he replaced the old leadership with the Central Command, a nine-man council led by a chairman. Safez initially proposed to name himself chairman, but Salah and other critics demanded he take the position of a regular member at most. While Safez accepted these demands as well, he filled the rest of the seats of the Central Command with family and close allies regardless.

While attempting to stabilize the LRP, Safez simultaneously sought to improve his position in the Lionarchy by expanding his military connections. On 13 February 2026, he aligned himself with general Umrad Makharat. Despite military personnel in the Lionarchy being prohibited from expressing political opinions, Umrad was caught toasting to Safez at a social event. While Umrad faced heavy criticism and calls for resignation, Safez's reputation remained relatively unscathed.

International recognition
On 21 February 2026, Safez recovered Spottelina Purr and Juniorientje Purr and escorted them to Juniorwood to meet with Junior Purr and Tijgertje. He handed the two Purrs over to them in an attempt to improve his international reputation and that of the LRP. Tijgertje and Junior stated they greatly appreciated the diplomatic gesture. The event was deemed a success by most party members.

The return of the two Purrs caused rumblings in the void. This resulted in Pantheron and several other panthers appearing. Allegations arose that it was a calculated plan to distract the Tigerian forces and to make them leave Lionarchic territory. Safez denied this and stated it was not his intention to make the panthers reappear. He added that he was not affiliated with Pantheron either. The latter statement was quickly proven false, as it was revealed that Safez held close ties to Haferys Ishtar, a Pantherian politician linked to Pantheron.

Safez's rule of the party was characterized by the integration of his family into key positions of the party. Most notably, he kept Scor as leader of the LRAF and appointed Sifad of Roarborne to foreign affairs. Documents indicated growing internal discontent within the party about the appointment of primarily Roarbornes. However, the LRP still saw growth in popularity. During the elections on 2 January 2026, the Lionarchic Roarist Party obtained 15% of the votes, acquiring 39/250 seats in the National Congress. In February 2026, Safez improved relations with several left-wing parties and urged them to follow the LRP's political aims. The LRP was now widely reported in media as the primary left-wing alternative, a development that resulted in an increase in the LRP's popularity while most rival left-wing parties saw a drop in approval.
Expanding influence
Left-wing parties
Safez sought to improve relations with other left-wing parties, including the Communist Lionparty (CLP), Lionish Socialist Movement (LSG), Socialist People's Party (SPV), Socialist Union Party of the Lionarchy (SUPL) and the Saharist National Covenant (SNC). By imposing his ideas on the other parties, Safez promoted the LRP as the main left-wing party. This resulted in the other parties losing popularity while the LRP grew significantly more popular.

Democratization of the party
Improvement of relations with the LSNP
Over time discontent grew amongst senior party members, unhappy about the "Roarborne grip on power" in the party. A prominent member, Salah, demanded Safez step down as leader and the party to be governed by a democratic council. Salah threatened to start an anti-Roarborne front within the LRP against Safez and his family if he didn't accept the demands. Safez soon after reshaped the bureaucracy of the party by establishing the Central Command of the Lionarchic Roarist Party. Safez hoped to appoint himself as chairman of the council, remaining in charge of the political party while appeasing the displeased party members. However, the party members didn't accept his attempts to maintain his power and demanded Safez become a regular viceroy at most. Safez accepted the terms and became the first viceroy, soon followed by Abdul of Hashemane and Scor of Roarborne.
Safez initiated negotiations with the far-right Lionish Social Nationalist Party (LSNP) led by Amin Zambada. Safez sought to overthrow the cabinet at the time, Mufasa I, by imposing a vote of no confidence. While Mufasa I was a minority cabinet, Safez first improved relations with Zambada. Both Safez and Zambada publicly stated their negotiations were successful. Safez called it "an unbreakable alliance between two natural allies". Zambada later revoked LSNP-support for the cabinet and a vote of no confidence was successfully passed on 25 February 2026.

Since his term as viceroy, Safez actively attempted to appoint new viceroys that were loyal to him, striving to become chairman regardless of his opposition in the party. It is widely speculated that around this time Safez increasingly improved relations with several influential individuals. The most important figures included Abdul of Hashemane, one of the displeased members who started supporting Safez instead, Reza Maluf, a close friend of Safez's father, Sulay of Roarborne, and later Safez's father in law. Shadid of Sorbonne, the leader of the Lionish Socialist National Party and later a high-ranking Roarist, was also contacted by Safez. The two allegedly conspired against the government, planning to stage a coup. Later, general Umrad Makharat was reported attending the meetings between Safez and Shadid. Among the various allegations against Makharat, the most prominent one was the reported toast to Safez at a party. The event was highly documented by the press and was widely regarded as definitive proof of his pro-Roarist stance.
The democratization of the party structure, the recovery of the two Purrs and the growing image of the LRP as the major left-wing party, were met with a boost in popularity. During the next election on 26 February 2026, the Lionarchic Roarist Party acquired nearly 20% of the vote, a five-percentage-point increase from its previous result. Safez was generally credited with this success and his popularity increased in the party. Throughout March and April, internal discontent and criticism towards Safez lessened because of the party success attributed to his actions.

The allegations gave rise to broad mistrust in the royalist government among civilians, who voiced their concerns about the support for the LRP by several military officers. King Leeuwtje of Orleons reacted shocked and stated military personnel must remain neutral on the political stage. Salah, still a staunch opponent of Safez, publicly accused Safez of attempting to seize power in the LRP for himself as well as aiming to stage a coup alongside Shadid and Umrad. The rivalry between Safez and Salah worsened when Safez stated he would "remove the enemies from within", referring to the members that opposed his ascent to chairman and Salah in particular. The LRP's consistent growth in popularity saw a halt due to the controversies surrounding Safez and the rivalry between him and Salah. Some polls indicated the party's approval rating was slowly decreasing, which Safez publicly blamed Salah for.
Consolidation of power
The Lionarchic Roarist Party suffered an electoral loss during the election in May 2026. While it lost seats, the LRP participated with four other political parties in the majority-Nasser cabinet. Safez started deliberately portraying Salah as an anti-state rebel, arguing that his resistance and harsh stance towards the Roarborne family could be interpreted as a threat to national security. He added it would be justified to act undemocratically to ensure Salah and other possible disloyal party members could not attain power. Safez proceeded to successfully appoint his cousin Scor as the new chairman of the Central Command. Together, they appointed other family members and close associates into the Central Command as well. While Scor was appointed chairman, Safez was still seen as de facto leader of the party. This was generally considered the end of the power struggle between Salah and Safez and a victory for the latter.

Political ideology and beliefs
Safez and his allies publicly declared that the power struggle with Salah had ended and added that they would continue to consolidate power throughout the Lionarchy. Mufasa, leader of the National Lionparty (NLP), reacted to Safez‘s statements outraged. On 30 May 2026, Mufasa was ambushed and nearly killed. While he survived and suffered only mild injuries, he fled to the Tigerium. The Tigerium soon after granted him permanent citizenship. Safez publicly shamed Mufasa, calling him cowardly for fleeing. He added he was not responsible for the assassination, though several political opponents called this into question.
Safez was originally a devout Roarist and supported the complete abolition of the monarchy in favour of a republican system, where democratic elections would determine the political course of the government. During this period, he aligned with other traditional Roarists and called for a revolution against the government in place. However, over time Safez's political ideas shifted significantly to a hybrid ideology of Roarism and his own principles, often referred to as Roarbornism. Roarbornism is widely regarded as a later and highly personalized variant of Roarism, positioning the members of the House of Roarborne and Safez in particular as the total leaders of the Lionarchic State. The ideology combines Solarite nationalism, sectarianism, militarism and a cult of personality around the Roarbornes. Similarly to traditional Roarism, Roarbornism supports the maintenance of a centralized army and opposes the economic and political decentralization of the Lionarchy. Both ideologies aim to move all public institutions in the hands of the state, though Roarbornism pursues to put these institutions specifically in the hands of the Roarborne family and its close allies. Unlike Roarism, Roarbornism elevates the ethnic Solarite-group above all the other ethnicities. Its most prominent example is in politics, where only Solarites and Savalions are allowed to vote and hold bureaucratic positions.

Roarbornism is frequently contrasted with other variants of Roarism, including Saharism and Neo-Roarism. Both Saharism and Neo-Roarism are non-dynastic and more socialist than Roarbornism. Saharism aims to focus less on Lionarchic-nationalism, focusing instead on establishing a full democratic political system, the removal of the monarchy and the non-corrupt handling of state institutions. Neo-Roarism on the other hand is widely described as a far-left variant of Roarism. Neo-Roarism abandoned nationalist principles and instead espoused radical leftist doctrines such as revolutionary socialism.
Safez later proposed two new laws in the National Congress of the Lionarchy. His first proposal was to set an electoral threshold of 10 seats (4%) in place. He also proposed that parties without a clear party leader cannot participate in elections. While his first proposal was swiftly accepted, the latter became highly debated, because it effectively banned the NLP following Mufasa‘s escape. However, opposing representatives were later barred from the National Congress and thus absent from the vote, resulting in the laws passing regardless.

Personality
Strengthening his reputation
Safez is widely characterized as a pragmatic strategist and is seen as notoriously intolerant of dissent. Observers note that he appears to have a profound sense of loyalty to his own family and sees any opposition to him or his family as a personal betrayal. Furthermore, Safez confirmed he sees the Solarite community superior to the other Lionarchic races. Additionally, experts concluded that Safez uses his charm strategically to gain influence in politics. Safez confirmed he is devoted to his eldest son Sarsel, who he considers his heir. However, Safez has granted his other sons important political positions as well.
While he previously improved relations with Juniorwood and the Tigerium through recovering Juniorientje Purr and Spottelina Purr, he sought to further solidify his position as the most prominent and well-known Lionarchic politician. On 30 May 2026, he visited the Purr family with Sultan of Roarborne and Mustass Musa. They reportedly expressed wanting to befriend the Purrs. The next day, he sent Rex Maluf, Rami Maluf and Ramzi Maluf to improve relations as well.

Safez of Roarborne (appeared 11 December 2025) is a Lionarchic politician and a member of the Central Command of the Lionarchic Roarist Party.

Safez meets with Junior Purr and Tijgertje when bringing Juniorientje Purr to them, February 2026

Improvement of relations with the LSNP

Strengthening his reputation

While he previously improved relations with Juniorwood and the Tigerium through recovering Juniorientje Purr and Spottelina Purr, he sought to further solidify his position as the most prominent and well-known Lionarchic politician. On 30 May 2026, he visited the Purr family with Sultan of Roarborne and Mustass Musa. They reportedly expressed wanting to befriend the Purrs. The next day, he sent Rex Maluf, Rami Maluf and Ramzi Maluf to improve relations as well.
