The Leeuwarchistisch Roaristische Partij (LRP) or Lionarchic Roarist Party, is a Roarist organisation and political party founded on 2 December 2025 by Scor of Roarborne and currently led by Safez of Roarborne. The party currently holds 39 seats in the National Congress.
History
Founding and early months
When the Lionarchy adopted a constitutional monarchy with democratic elections on 1 December 2025, the leader of the Lionarchic Roarist Armed Forces (LRAF), Scor of Roarborne, signed a peace treaty with the government and was allowed to establish his own political party as well as keeping predominantly Solarite-communities under LRAF influence. Scor established the Lionarchic Roarist Party on 2 December 2025, which was amongst the first four parties to be founded.
On 11 December 2025, nine days after the party was founded, Safez of Roarborne returned from the void and was granted leadership of the party. Safez immediately reshaped the newly established party and appointed other family members in key portfolios within the party. The party received a rise in popularity after Safez came to power, most notably around late December of 2025. The party had received around five to ten percent of the votes on average in several polls whilst during the first elections on 2 January 2026, the Lionarchic Roarist Party had obtained around 15% of the votes, obtaining 39/250 seats. Though the victory of the election belonged to the National Lionparty (NLP) with 74/250 seats, the LRP's performance as the second-largest party was celebrated by several Roarists. According to Safez, their results were a "wonderful victory for the LRP".
After the first elections concluded, a minority government was established between the NLP, Fatah Accord and LSNP. During the government's tenure, several other parties were established which held close ties to the LRP. Primarily the Saharist National Covenant (SNC) and several communist and socialist parties had friendly relations with the LRP and each other. Since the LRP was the largest left-wing party, it started leading the opposition against the minority government.
Additionally, Safez started improving relations with the leader of the LSNP, Shadid of Sorbonne. Safez aimed to convince Shadid to withdraw support for the minority government, which he estimated would lead to the collapse of the government, prompting early elections. Safez sought to start the elections sooner to make the LRP the largest party of the National Assembly whilst the NLP would likely lose most of its seats since it had significantly lost popularity. The LRP rose in numerous polls as it became publicly known as "the main left wing party" of the Lionarchy.
