Great Fire of 29 March 2026

The Great Fire of 29 March 2026 was an incident in Eindhoven during which the house in which all plushies resided caught fire. The fire was likely started on purpose and caused significant damage to the house, though resulting in no injuries.

Start

The fire was noticed around 07:45-08:00 (UTC+2), when a considerable amount of smoke filled the house. When all inhabitants awoke, they rushed outside. P1gsel brought Tijgertje, Tigros and Tigrish outside, though forgetting Tiggy. He later said that he forgot him since he mistook Tiggy for Tigros. He added he was still used to there being only three "important tigers", being Tijgertje, Tigrish and Tiggy. However, since Tigros's reappearance two weeks prior, there were now four "important tigers", as he was included in that category. P1gsel stated he still had to get used to this and added he was hurriedly awoken resulting in no time to think of the recent change.

During the fire, Rosie brought Junior Purr and Juniorientje Purr outside. She later also started bringing other accessible and large plushies to safety.

Tiggy, Tijgertje and Tigros after the fire was extinguished.

Later, around 08:00 (UTC+2), Wouter had put out most of the flames while the firefighters later fully extinguished the fire. The family was taken to their neighbours across the street, where the rescued plushies also remained for about two hours. P1gsel then returned to the house along with Tijgertje, Tigros and Tigrish to the other Tigerian royals. Rosie, Junior and Juniorientje later returned to the house as well.

Rosie's plushies, Spot Purr and Spottelina Purr, were closest to the fire. They had to be washed later, along with Bebe Crave, Webster, Tygar, Sniff of Snuffer and Mufasa.
