26 February 2026 Lionarchic general election
The general elections on 26 February 2026 in the Lionarchy were the second general elections to be held in the Lionarchy. It was a snap election since the previous cabinet, Mufasa I, had collapsed early.
During the elections, the newly founded Lionish National People's Party (LNVP), Socialist Union Party of the Lionarchy (SUPL), Saharist National Covenant (SNC) and Lionish Socialist Movement (LSG) participated along with the older political parties. The election was officially a victory for the National Lionparty (NLP), which acquired around 21% of the seats. However, the NLP's result was deemed disappointing by party members, as the party initially held around 30% of the seats. The Communist Lionparty (CLP) also saw a large drop in popularity, losing the most amount of seats out of any party. The older Lionish Social Nationalist Party (LSNP) saw a large positive result, being 37 seats, a gain of 13. The newly founded LNVP and SUPL also saw a large positive results, respectively acquiring 16 and 13 seats.
The cabinet which was established, Mufasa II, was an extremely small minority-cabinet, only holding about 30% of the seats in total and lasted a for a short period of 22 days.
