Aapje

Aapje (appeared 2007) is the Empress of the Royal Primate since 15 March 2026. She formerly led the Dark Hordes as second-in-command to Tijgeron.

Aapje is one of the oldest plushies, having already been spotted as early as 2007. Until Tijgeron's appearance in 2016, Aapje remained relatively uncontroversial and unimportant. She started working for Tijgeron throughout the years and gradually grew to the rank of second-in-command in his personal militia. She also began a relationship with another senior commander under Tijgeron's command, Cookie Monster.

In 2026, Tijgeron challenged Goros to a fight and won, and he declared himself the new Primator's Strongest. This prompted a series of violent responses from Goros-loyalists, and resulted in the start of a civil war in the Royal Primate. The Tigerium began intervening in the war as well, seeking to expulse Tijgeron's influence in the region. The destruction caused by the civil war tired all three belligerents quickly, and following the wounding of Tigrish, the Tigerium requested to negotiate a peace treaty. Tigerian forces withdrew from the region, and Tijgeron's forces followed suit soon after.

Following the conclusion of the civil war, Aapje ascended to the Primatorial throne and severed ties with Tijgeron. Her reign was characterized as highly isolated and chaotic. She held virtually no contact with other countries, and several militias still existed and controlled large parts of Primatorial territory. While her approval rating was generally considered extremely low, she continued to rule without threat of dethronement until Signius of Congrove's appearance in August 2026. Signus received military support from the Tigerium and began planning a military operation to enthrone himself.
