The Elections in Sibearia are held annually on [Month, Date], during which the president and the members of the National Assembly are chosen. The members are elected through a proportional voting system, where the percentage of votes a party receives corresponds directly to the number of seats it obtains. During the same elections, voters also cast a separate ballot for presidential candidates, who are independent and not part of any political party. A candidate must receive more than 50% over the votes to win, otherwise a second round is held.

Houses

The Federal Assembly of Sibearia consists of a lower and upper house.

The lower house, also the State Assembly has 450 members, all of whom are elected nationwide through a proportional party-list system. Citizens cast a vote for a party, and seats are divided amongst the parties according to the total share of votes they receive.

The upper house, also the Federation Council, has 144 members, with each of the 72 administrative regions sending two senators. One senator is appointed by the regional governor and the other by the regional legislative body.
