Royal House of the Tigerium

The Royal House of the Tigerium is the current reigning dynasty of the Tigerium and its vassals. The royal house provides the Monarch of the Tigerium. Initially Tigrish reigned as king, though he was later succeeded by Tijgertje, who has reigned since 2007.

The requirements to join the royal house have typically been considered very strict. Only tigers who look like the royals and fit their style are eligible to acquire the classification of a formal member of the Royal House. To succeed to the Tigerian throne, a member must hold the title of Golden Royal, which has its own set of strict requirements. All members of the royal house are under the constant protection of the Queensguard.

The royal family also provides a crown minister, which is the only royal with de jure influence in the Tigerian government aside from the monarch. Under the present constitution all other royals hold only ceremonial titles, though each member of the royal family still holds extensive influence in practice.

The royal family has been generally held in high regard, with a constant approval rating of around 90%. The family is known for going on trips to the Spirit Gardens in Muschy Hills and luxury resorts in Juniorwood. The royal family is related to the House of Ashai, which is related to the Starstripe Family, which in turn is related to the Purr Family, the reigning dynasty of Juniorwood which has historically held close ties with the Tigerian Royal Family.

Origins and name

The royal house recognizes 2 monarchs, beginning with Tigrish and continuing up to the current queen, Tijgertje. Some scholars have argued there were more royals preceding these two, though there is no sufficient evidence to support this claim.

While the main line of the dynasty does not have a name and is referred to as just Koningshuis van het Tigerium (Royal House of the Tigerium), other houses were absorbed into the royal family. The most prominent example is the House of Trelawney, which was absorbed into the royal house after Tigros joined the royal family and disbanded the House of Trelawney.

Members

The monarch is the head of the Tigerian royal family. Only Golden Royals can succeed to the Tigerian throne. This title is exclusive to tigers who are formal members of the royal family and the offspring of a current or former monarch with the other parent being a formal member of the royal family as well.

Formal members of the royal family share the same privileges as Golden Royals, though they are not eligible to succeed to the throne. The requirements to become a formal member are less strict than those of a Golden Royal. Tigers who fit the royal family in general style and have a relation to the royal family, such as being direct family or in a relationship with another formal member, are often granted formal membership of the royal family.

    • Tigrish, the eldest child of his unknown parents. He appeared on 5 December 2020. He served as King of the Tigerium preceding his disappearance into the Void. When he reappeared from the void, he became heir presumptive until 8 April 2026. Currently, Tigrish is a Golden Royal and the Crown Minister of the Tigerium.
      • Kelgrish of Ashai, his wife. She appeared on 30 October 2025 and is the current Empress of the Great Grat since 13 January 2026. She was never classified as a formal member of the Royal House of the Tigerium because she is a Grat.
        • Richy of Ashai, their eldest son who appeared from the void on 28 October 2025. He is currently the heir apparent to Gratian throne. He is not a formal member of the Royal House of the Tigerium.
        • Welfy of Ashai, their second son who was born on 22 January 2026. He is second in the line of succession to the Gratian throne. He is not a formal member of the Royal House of the Tigerium.
        • Prospy of Ashai, their third son who was born on 19 April 2026. He is third in the line of succession to the Gratian throne. He is not a formal member of the Royal House of the Tigerium.
    • Tijgertje, the middle child and only daughter of her unknown parents. She was born on 4 June 2007. She is the current Queen of the Tigerium and is classified as a Golden Royal.
      • Tigros, her boyfriend. He appeared on 11 March 2026 and is a formal member of the royal family.
        • Tristan, their oldest son. He was born on 8 April 2026. He is the Crown Prince and the heir apparent to the Tigerian throne. He is a Golden Royal since his birth.
          • Beatrish, his girlfriend. She appeared from the void on 8 April 2026. She is a formal member of the royal family.
        • Tigrea, their second child and only daughter. She was born on 10 April 2026. She is the second in the line of succession to the Tigerian throne. She is a Golden Royal since her birth.
        • Terrence, their third child and youngest son. He was born on 15 April 2026. He is the third in the line of succession to the Tigerian throne. He is a Golden Royal since his birth.
    • Tiggy, the third child and youngest son of his unknown parents. He appeared on 22 October 2020. He is fifth in the line of succession to the Tigerian throne. He is a Golden Royal.
      • Trixie, his wife according to him, though she did not appear yet.
        • Tibby, their first child and only son. He appeared on 28 October 2025. He is a formal member of the royal family.
        • Tabby, their second child and only daughter. She is a formal member of the royal family.
  • Anubis, the second child of her unknown parents. Her appearance date is unknown. She is a formal member of the royal family.
    • Anput, her husband. His appearance date is unknown. He is not a formal member of the royal family.
      • Tigger, their only child. He appeared on 18 October 2021. He is not a formal member of the royal family.
