The monarchy of the Hoofdoms, commonly referred to as the Neckish monarchy, is the form of government in which a single hereditary monarch reigns over the four constituent realms of the Hoofdoms. While the monarch rules as formal head of state of the four realms, each realm is governed independently by its own democratically-elected prime minister. The monarchy is exclusively held by the House of Necksor, a Neckish dynasty. The monarch since 7 May 2026 is King George, who ascended the throne on the day of independence.
