Legislature is an assembly that holds legal authority to make law and exercise political oversight within a country. A legislative body can be bicameral or unicameral. Bicameral legislature is often divided between a lower house which proposes bills and an upper house, which revises and rejects or passes the proposed bills. An unicameral legislative body has the tasks of proposing bills, revising them and then ultimately rejecting or passing them.
