It is the largest temple in the world, standing at 126 blocks tall and having an exactly 72000 block area. The Coatepec is similar to the Templo Mayor, the main temple of the [[Second Aztec Empire]], [[Fourth Aztec Empire]] and [[Fifth Aztec Empire]]. Both the Coatepec and Templo Mayor serve [[Tlaloc]] and [[Huitzilopochtli]], both also having two structures at the top of the temple as well as two stairs leading towards those two structures. Furthermore, both are large compared to most [[Mesoamerican]] temples and both have two structures at the bottom of the temple. However, at the same time these structures are different. The Templo Mayor in [[Tenochtitlan]] in the [[Third Phase]], has those two smaller structures separated from the pyramid. However, the Coatepec has the two structures connected to the pyramid itself. Ultimately, the Coatepec is about 9.5 times larger than the Templo Mayor in the Fifth Aztec Empire.
