Whilst the war is going on and Aztec and Mayan forces and technology is arriving, an extreme drought is starting in the south of the Iraqi island. This leaves many trees and vegetation to deteriorate. This also causes the health of many soldiers to deteriorate aswell. The war is now said to be a literal hell by many victims. Now, houses are being destroyed by grenades and catapults aswell, resulting in the city being deemed chaotic and a mess.

Eventually Iraqi and Egyptain soldiers kept fighting for so long Iranian soldiers got tired of fighting and left the area. The Aztecs and Mayas left aswell. The battle was seen as a stalemate by some, and by some a success for Iran and for some a success for Iraq.

Some people deem this a victory for Iraq as they kept fighting for such a long time Iranian soldiers got tired and had to leave, making the Iraqis not lose any actual land.

Most people deem this a victory for Iran as they completely destroyed the city Basra and killed most civilians in the area, aswell as killing a high number of Iraqi and Egyptain soldiers. Due to having less casualties than inflicted casualties, most people deem this an Iranian victory.

==== Stalemate ====
Most people also deem this a stalemate. No side won. Both sides lost a lot of soldiers and Iraq also lost a city. Furthermore they had large losses. However, the city remains Iraqi and Iraqi forces remain in the city to this day, behind the line of sand. It is now deemed a base in the south of the Iraqi island instead of an city. Its terrain is hard to conquer due to the high amount of destroyed buildings ruining the terrain. Furthermore a dry desert makes conquering hard Basra rather difficult. Due to this, Basra has become harder to invade for enemy forces resulting in this being a positive aspect for the Iraqi side. On the other side, Iran has inflicted many casualties, being a positive aspect for Iranian side.
